Frequently asked questions

If something here is unclear or missing, say so — this page grows from the questions people actually ask.

The product

What does OddLot Pilot do?

The licensed product organizes corporate-action candidates with source evidence and timing. Its Windows app connects to supported brokerages, checks accounts, and supports guarded order review. Automatic buying and owner-issued roundup sell alerts are available only for eligible plans and brokers, with the corresponding automation settings enabled.

Where do broker credentials go?

Broker secrets and saved sessions stay on your Windows computer, protected for your Windows user profile. The desktop app uses them locally. The cloud receives account identifiers and trading records needed for access checks and reporting, but does not store broker login secrets.

Which brokerages are supported?

The current desktop supports Public and Robinhood for manual orders and eligible automatic buying, WellsTrade for guarded manual orders, and SoFi for manual whole-share limit buys. A free account includes the current broker list and setup guides.

Can I stop or limit trading?

Yes. Live and automatic buying start off. Manual orders require review and confirmation. The desktop and server enforce account and order controls, and you can disconnect a broker, forget its locally saved secret, or unpair a computer.

Free account and access

What happens when I register?

You can sign in immediately and read the broker setup guides, check supported brokerages, and see your account status. Desktop download and pairing, current candidates, and trading tools require a license. Automation also depends on the plan and broker.

Do the free guides show current trades?

No. They cover opening, funding, and connecting brokerage accounts. Current opportunities, timing, broker analysis, quantities, and execution decisions stay in the licensed product.

Can I get a trial?

Trial access may be issued per account during the preview. Your portal shows whether access has been issued.

Risks

Can I lose money?

Yes. Issuer terms may change, a broker may treat fractions differently, prices may fall, and costs can exceed a result. No outcome is guaranteed.

Is this investment advice?

No. OddLot Pilot is research and automation software, not a broker-dealer or an investment adviser. You are responsible for your trades.

Still deciding?

A free account includes the supported brokerage list and setup guides. Current candidates and trading tools require licensed access.
